Florida Rep is donating tickets to Mary Kay volunteers, and the foundation will receive the proceeds of Florida Rep's popular 50/50 Raffle. The performance of Born Yesterday begins at 8:00pm, and the house opens at 7:30pm.
"The timing couldn't be more perfect, with October being the Awareness month for both of these causes," said Cheryl Ferrara, Independent Mary Kay Consultant & Event Organizer. "We're hoping to make this an annual event, in honor of Mary Kay Ash and her commitment to women’s issues."
Born Yesterday is a comic love story set against the background of post-war Washington politics. As funny as it is political, and touching as it is relevant, it has at its heart the story of one woman's awakening as she frees herself from the tyranny of her own naïvete, and an abusive relationship.
"It is a perfect play to associate with the Foundation, and we're very proud of the partnership," said Producing Artistic Director, Robert Cacioppo.
