With all indicators demonstrating that tourism to Niagara USA is on the rise, the construction of three new, high-profile luxury attractions over the next several years is likely to attract even more travelers to the region. The Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel—which offers more than 600 luxurious rooms, 4,000 slot machines, 100 table game options, seven renowned restaurants and a 2,200-seat entertainment venue—recently announced plans to add an additional hotel and more gaming space to the property.
The Seneca Gaming Corporation also announced plans to build a $15 million, 257-acre, 18-hole championship golf course in Lewiston on the border of the Niagara escarpment. The Seneca Gaming Corporation is soliciting proposals from top-name course designers, including Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman.
Lewiston will also be home to the new, four-star, 78-room Barton Hill Hotel & Spa, slated for opening in Fall 2007. Barton Hill Hotel & Spa will feature elegant guest rooms, many with fireplaces and river gorge views. The hotel will also offer a spa with aromatherapy, body-wraps, cellulite therapies, a full service salon and more, as well as a restaurant, a sauna, a pool, high-speed internet access, high-tech meeting facilities and valet parking.
