In the camp's First Session, June 9 - 20, Disney’s smash hit, High School Musical comes to life on the stage as a one-act. In this popular new musical, the Jocks, Brainiacs and Thespians of East High strut their stuff! This fast-paced high energy show contains all of the songs from the Disney Channel blockbuster film and is sure to excite campers of all ages.
Session Two, June 23 - 27 marks a first for the camp, an All New Summer Intensive Theatre Training Program. Jump start any child’s success with our new one-week concentrated arts camp. In this first time opportunity from Florida Rep, campers will spend five jam-packed days with professional actors, dancers and musicians mastering their artistic skills. This camp will feature in-depth scene study, vocal performance, dance and movement for the stage, specialty skills and audition techniques culminating in a final showcase performance just like they do in NYC! This unique camp is geared towards children with a serious interest in the performing arts ages 8 and up.
The Third Session, July 7 - 18, will find campers on the streets of New York City in the middle of the 1930's in Annie, Jr. So, don’t wait until Tomorrow to enroll in this family favorite. Let these memorable songs take you back in time with Miss Hannigan’s lovable orphans. Join Annie and her dog, Sandy, on their journey to find her parents in New York City during the great depression. Children of all ages (and their parents) are sure to recognize songs like Tomorrow, Hard-Knock Life and Easy Street.
Session Four of the camp, July 21 - August 1, will be a favorite for campers in Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. Based on the popular television series, this musical treat is sure to engage learners of all ages. Join Tom, the schoolteacher, as the Schoolhouse Rock bunch comes to life to help him teach science, math, history and grammar. This hip, entertaining show features the hit songs Conjunction Junction, I'm Just a Bill and Interplanet Janet.
And finally in Session Five, August 4 - 15, campers will take a Take a “scrumdidilyumptious” ride with Willy Wonka, Jr. and the colorful characters from the magical world of Roald Dahl. Travel to the fantastic factory of the wacky Willy Wonka in this deliciously new adaptation of this classic story. Campers of all ages will bring Charlie Bucket and his friends to life using Pure Imagination, in a musical sure to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
The camp is designed for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade. 7th through 12th grade students may register at a different level of price and responsibility to be a Star in Training (S.I.T.), and the All New Intensive Training Week is available for children ages 8 and up.
Camp Florida Rep is a day camp from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with arrival beginning at 8:45, and pick-up beginning at 4:00pm. Post-camp care is available for an additional $20 per week.
The cost for the Two-Week sessions is $325 for K-6th graders, and $275 for the S.I.T. program. The cost for the One-Week summer intensive is $150. Each camp session is limited to 60 children, and a 50% non-refundable deposit is due with the registration form, and the balance is due on the first day of camp.
