Civil War Christmas at Averasboro Battlefield
Averasboro -- On Saturday, December 5, Averasboro Battlefield is hosting a Civil War Christmas special event. From 10 am to 4 pm, re-enactors will share their interpretation of what Christmas may have been like between 1861 and 1865.
Additionally, from December 4-6, a full-sized replica of the CSS H.L. Hunley, a Civil War submarine, will be on display at Averasboro Battlefield.
Admission is to both special events are free, but there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle. The fee supports projects of the Averasboro Battlefield & Museum.
